Avi grew up in a big family. Her family consisted of two sets of twins. Aviana and Avery, Celest and Corinna. Her mother died whilst giving birth to the second set of twins which left them with only a father. The twins looked almost exactly like each other. All with mousy brown hair and grey eyes. Everyone seemed content with that, except Aviana. She hated being always part of a matching set. Never changing, always the same. In one of her famous tantrum outburst a seven year old Aviana smeared pieces of gum in her hair, exclaiming she just wanted to be different for once. Her father was a high ranking officer in the military and raised them very strictly and controlling. If one pulled any of those stuns they would be sent to bed without supper and have to spent the evening and night locked in a closet. The other twins and Avi's twin sibling seemed fine with the controlling and montone lifestyle. Sure, they did not appreciate their fathers strict ways from time to time but in general they simply seemed too laid back to change it. Aviana was different though. At age fourteen she ran away the first time. Even though her father was a harsh, controlling and very strict man he was never before cruel. So when she came back after nearly being kidnapped by some thugs her father showed her a face she wasn't even aware existed. She knew she was in for some trouble upon returning but she never expected him to actually hit her. He started with a back had slap. It was just one time but it was enough for Aviana to be knocked out of her senses. Even her sisters never had seen her father quite like that. After that she behaved, for a time. She noticed he'd also started to treat her with more rigorous means than her other sisters. Trying to see a light in the entire situation she hoped her father's way of treating her would finally set her free from her other sisters. It was a bitter contentment. With each passing month she became more desperate for change. To feel different. To be free of the mental shackles her father had places on her since her birth, though, she feared what her father would do to her more if she ran away again. And so she waited it out until she turned seventeen. She could no longer take it and saw her change when her father went on a three week trip. On the seventh day of his trip she ran away for good, sneaked on a cargo ship and was off to Kanto. For a while she stayed there, got in contact with the wrong people and sooner or later turned to burglary, thievery. Even though she sometimes went hungry, was cold and lonely she never felt more alive. Avi' had a knack for breaking in and stealing and began to make a name for herself. At last she wasn't no longer part of a matched set but just Aviana. To finish her own personality she got some green contact lenses and dyed her hair. She began to feel unsafe however, still haunted by the memories of her father and what he would do if he were to find her. Undoubtedly had he come to the conclusion that she probably would no longer be in the Sinnoh region. So under cover of her green disguise she started to travel the Kanto region and eventually bought her way on to a ship that were to set sail to the Kalos region. They would make few stops, the trip would be a long one, but to Aviana it didn't matter. All she cared about was getting off her father's grid.

The trip took longer than expected due to some heavy storms and damage to the ship. In that time frame Avi turned eighteen. Once safely in Kalos she turned to the only thing she could do best. She found that Lumiose City was a perfect target for her shady activities. However, she also became aware of a certain organisation held up there. Apparently they called themselves Team Rocket. A name Aviana actually hadn't heard before. She mostly kept to herself and her own devices but was one day approached by a guy who knew a guy who was in Team Rocket. Or .. something like that. Apparently at some point she had stolen a valuable item from him at some point and he wanted it back. Though the guy was interested to know how exactly she got to it since he had it kept in a vault, protected by a lot of locks. Her interests were spiked by this 'Team Rocket'  and she began her research, which led her to the the more shady part of the organisation. Before she actually could get into more detail about them she was approached by a fully fledged Team Rocket member. That was the first time she got into contact with Team Rocket. She did a few little jobs and such for them which earned her quite a bit of money, more than she ever could hope to make on her own. Avi' saw her change and she wanted more. She wanted it all. To fully complete herself though she wanted to have a pokémon. She wasn't certain exactly how to acquire one since she had none of her own and she highly doubted a stolen pokémon would want to follow her. The solution came to a shelter for dumped and found pokémon. Mainly were the creatures there dull and nothing special. Zigzagoon, Bunnelby, Furfrou and so on. She wanted something not so dull. Her eye fell on a blue serpent like pokémon from which she saw some drawings in her home region. The creature looked special and made her wonder why no one would have wanted it. After all, it said on his form that he had been at the shelter for over twelve months. After she returned it into his pokéball she found out shortly after why no one had wanted it. The Dratini was a nasty, wild monster that clearly never had been dealt with properly. It took Aviana more than six months to get him to behave slightly better. She had no experience with pokémon and it proven to be a difficult task for her. Though with a whip and stern commands she came a long way and taught herself some tricks. She had gotten him to the point he was a bit more submissive towards her and that brought her a long way. Though the Dratini had a lot of build up anger inside of him that he needed to let out once in a while, after all, he was a badly behaving Dragon.

When Aviana finally got Vhagar in line she signed up for Team Rocket and became a member at age nineteen.
