weary from travels that led me far and strange
'twas a sight to behold, far across the mountain range

'twas lumiose the city of light that was to behold
that dawned at far, before my sight unfold

buildings doomed high and low and broad and wide
up around me in many a colour dyed

i was to meet an ambitious friend i hold so dear
in a hotel nearby, not too far from here

seated on a velvet chair, leafeon and umbreon by my hand
my companion walks the corner and i smile and stand

the walk t'wards him is naught but brief
in a hug i hold him, quite ecstatic if you'd believe

Messages were sent in the depth of night.
They were millions of stars apart when their words took flight.

Above a cup of Blueberry tea with a scent so sweet,
the two boys ended up with words of desire to meet.

A couple days later here they stood,
together hugging like a couple of best friends would.

Thys filled the air with his typical laughter,
asking his friend how he was doing thereafter.

Down his pockets his hands went,
trying to prevent the winter her nasty torment.

Thys' feet filled the air with the sound of moaning snow,
wobbling them left, right, to and fro.

''Shall we go somewhere warm?'' Thys gleefully inquired,
looking up hopefully at this trainer boy, whom he kind of admired.

''It's um good to see you again,'' he said with a sober grin
his words not fully reflecting the feelings that laid within.

PS. ISUCK.

the air is filled with joyous laughter
and happiness and mirth
'twas likely the purest sound i ever chansed upon
on this so tainted earth

i feel blood rush to my cheeks
they feel tingly, and somewhat heated
a crimson colour painting a canvas
not nearly yet completed

"i'm quite alright," i answer
a smile embellished on my face
i nod at his following question
and slowly pick up pace

with my dear friend by my side
leafeon and umbreon not two gaits afar
we trudge onward into a little diner
taking the time to ask how his days are

For a moment it seemed time stood still,
this joyous meeting made 'normal life' seem like a bitter pil.

The pair of them met a couple of weeks ago,
It soon felt as a couple of years though.

''We should meet more often'', Thys beamed,
Because whenever he met Aleks, he felt happy, it seemed.

Thys was happy to find out that his friend was alright,
and so he smiled, honest and bright.

The pair of 'em soon started to walk to a place unnamed,
And even though he wanted to ask, he kept his tongue restrained.

Into some diner place they soon went,
it was small and old, accompanied by a dusty scent.

''Long and tough, but without much stress'' Thys said,
leaving the uninteresting horror-y details unsaid.

''How have your Pokémon been doing?''
being especially interested in the Eevee he had seen improving.

Soon came the lady to order our beverages,
''A kamille tea and a..'' he gave Aleks a curious look, interested in his drinking-preferences.

the diner we entered was small,
somewhat old and quite quaint
with robust wooden tables and chairs,
and from spot to place peeling paint

this was not to say about
the quality of affairs in this hole in the wall
with jovial, hearty laughter, good food
there was nearly not enough place for all

''good that,'' i respond short but kind
sitting down on free stool at a table nearby
i am quick to wave a waitress over
before i take my turn to give Thys' question a reply

''they're all doing quite well,'' i nod
knowing he wants to know about one primarily
''eevee should evolve pretty soon,''
i smile and chuckle momentarily

the waitress comes and hands our menus
a scowl hidden behind a taut smile
thys gives his order and so do i
''a strawberry milk, please,'' then we wait awhile

Thys listens to Aleks' reply,
about the Eevee of whom he speaks of high

''Is that so?'' Thys asks him cheerfully,
''Which eeveelution were you thinking of?'' Thys adds quickly.

Thys couldn't be happier that Eevee was in such a good place,
Apparently all his worries were completely without base.

Thys smile as the waitress leaves us, leaving them alone,
Thys would've opened his mouth again if it wasn't for his ringing phone.

''I'm sorry I've got to take this one.'' Thys says apologetically
Picking up his phone, after which he starts talking collectively.

Apparently it was a new client who had some trouble with her PokeBaby,
Asking of Thys if he could visit her soon maybe.

Thys shakes his head, answering her negatively,
Adding that he wasn't close by, not even relatively.

She seemed stressed, making Thys sigh,
Thys nodded and said that he would be there by next morning's sky.

Thys hung up the phone, staring at his hands with frustration,
not looking forward to this new sudden obligation.

''Sorry about that'' said Thys with a smile,
''I guess always being on the move is just part of my new life style.''

Thys brightly smiles, looking up when the waitress comes with their fluids,
after which he starts drinking his drink, almost knocking over the plate in his movement.
