Noctis is actually quite shy, but tries to hide it by acting cool. Every now and then this shy side of his personality will slip through, though he is not fond of it. He also dislikes rules and authority and acts as he pleases, even if it endangers himself or his friends. Nevertheless Noct is one of the most loyal friends you can get.
H I S T O R Y
PRE-FORUM HISTORY Noctis was born into a rich family, his dad being one of the more influential people of Unova. Of course this meant a strict upbringing, including a lot of rules and restrictions. His inevitable rebellious phase started when he was about eight years old. He went to a public school and there met his childhood friend Dario, which seemed to worsen his behavior towards his parents and any kind of authority over time. Partially to keep him occupied with other things, his parents gifted him a Shinx. Their plan failed however. To make things worse, Noct's friend Dario managed to blow up the power station of the city, while Noctis was with him, resulting in the banishment of his friend. It didn't take long for Noctis to follow, leaving his parents home for good. Now he travels together with his childhood friend, just enjoying life as it goes, living by his own rules.
